These photos show the stunning decay present in a once beautiful city. It's interesting to note that Detroit hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1961 and that this deterioration has been the direct result of "progressive" policies implemented by caring, compassionate (and usually corrupt) Democratic mayors. Detroit is #1 on the list of poorest cities in the U.S.
