Surge succeeded in Iraq:
In the interview, Obama backtracks on previous criticism of President Bush's decision to send a "surge" of 21,000 troops to Iraq. “I think that the surge has succeeded in ways that nobody anticipated,” Obama said, according to early excerpts of the interview “I’ve already said it’s succeeded beyond our wildest dreams.”
Well ain't it nice of him to finally say so? And on the evil Fox News network, no less. How the mighty are fallen.
It just goes to show that the Messiah's "wildest dreams" are pretty uninspired, don't you think? Couldn't he have mustered just a little bit of that 'hope' that he hypes so regularly to support America and her troops on the battlefield?
John McCain was able to visualize America winning the Iraq war. John McCain had hope and stood up for that vision. John McCain was willing to do what needed to be done and change America's military strategy in order to achieve victory in Iraq--and he didn't care if he lost an election to do so.
As Palin said the other day speaking about Obama "This is a man who can give an entire speech about the wars America is fighting, and never use the word 'victory' except when he's talking about his own campaign."
Jay Nordlinger recently quoted a famous political limerick:
There was a great Marxist called Lenin,

I always liked limericks, so I made one up:
